The new release of Pierro’s benchmark Margaret River Chardonnay: lush and layered, with citrus, stone fruit and oatmeal notes, fine texture, well-judged oak and fabulous persistence.
Pierro was founded in 1979 by Dr Michael Peterkin in Wilyabrup, at the heart of Margaret River, and its Chardonnay quickly became one of Australia’s benchmark whites. Made in a rich yet finely structured style, it combines generous stone fruit and citrus with nutty, oatmeal complexity from barrel fermentation and French oak, all held together by fresh, mineral acidity.
