Laurent Tribut Chablis Montmains Premier Cru 2023

£54.95 incl. VAT

1 in stock

Taut and finely drawn, with citrus peel, white orchard fruit and a distinct saline, oyster-shell minerality. The palate is precise and unadorned — bright acidity, no new-oak gloss, and a long, chalky, savoury finish that is unmistakably left-bank Chablis.

2023 Vintage — Chablis, Burgundy, France

Domaine Laurent Tribut is a small family estate based in Poinchy, just west of Chablis. Laurent Tribut trained under Vincent Dauvissat, whose sister he married, and the house style shows that lineage clearly — precise, transparent Chablis made to express site rather than winemaking.

Montmains is a premier cru on the left bank of the Serein, planted on Kimmeridgian limestone and marl. The wines are handled reductively, with fermentation and ageing largely in stainless steel and older wood, so there is no new-oak signature to blur the fruit — just Chardonnay, chalk and tension.
