Domaine Boutinot Argiles Blanches Blanc Cairanne 2025

Original price was: £18.95.Current price is: £15.95. incl. VAT

12 in stock

Bright pale straw with green-gold reflections. Aromatic nose of white peach, pear, citrus blossom and crushed white-stone minerality, with subtle leesy weight and a delicate floral lift. Medium-bodied with bright Rhône acidity, a textured chalky mid-palate and a long, savoury finish carrying the chalky character of the white-clay soils. Excellent with roast chicken, grilled white fish, herbed risotto or fresh goat’s cheese.

2025 Vintage — Cairanne AOP, Southern Rhône, France

Domaine Boutinot is the UK producer-merchant’s own estate operation in the Southern Rhône, with parcels across some of the appellation’s most distinctive crus. Cairanne is one of the village crus, on the right bank of the Rhône, known for soils that range from sandy red clay to the white limestone-and-clay parcels that give this cuvée its name — “Argiles Blanches” (white clays).

A Southern Rhône white blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Viognier from the estate’s higher, cooler-site parcels on white-clay soils. Fermented in stainless steel and large old oak foudre with extended lees contact for texture, no malolactic conversion to preserve freshness. A mineral, focused expression of Cairanne white — built for the table rather than the cellar.
