Corino Nebbiolo Langhe 2022 has a bright color with ruby tones and violet reflections. Its aromatic profile is fragrant and lively with notes of berries, sour cherries, and violets. On the palate, it is fresh and exuberant with a medium body and silky tannins. The finish is long and fresh. It is a young wine ready to drink immediately, which pairs perfectly with pasta with ragù, mushroom risotto, and truffle mac and cheese.
Located in La Morra, in the province of Cuneo, the Giovanni Corino winery is a family-run business, particularly known for its elegant Barolo wines. The estate extends over approximately 9 hectares of vineyards and is currently managed by Giuliano, Giovanni’s son, together with his wife and their two children. The company pays particular attention to respecting the territory and wants to achieve full expression of the vines and the terroir, carrying out thinning in the vineyard, short fermentations, and aging the wines in small French oak barrels.
The Nebbiolo grapes come from the company vineyards located in La Morra on clay-limestone soil. After a short maceration and vinification, the wine is aged in steel for 8-10 months, before bottling.
