Kir-Yianni is one of the defining estates of Naoussa in northern Greece, the home of Xinomavro. The Cuvée Villages is 100% Xinomavro, from the estate’s younger vines and small parcels owned by local growers across the Naoussa appellation, and is designed to show the grape’s character in an approachable, early-drinking style.
Vibrant red and black fruit on the nose, with strawberry, cherry and plum. The palate is crisp and fruit-driven, with touches of sweet spice and tobacco, fresh acidity and smooth, well-integrated tannins. Think a savoury cross between Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir.
