Tinazzi Vinum Italicum No. 3 Opera 2016

Original price was: £29.95.Current price is: £27.95. incl. VAT

4 in stock

Deep ruby-garnet. Rich, layered nose of black cherry, dark plum, fig, sweet spice, mocha and a whisper of dried rose. Full-bodied and opulent on the palate — supple tannins, ripe dark fruit, savoury oak spice and a long, warming, complex finish that betrays the wine’s three distinct Italian origins.

2016 Vintage — Vino Rosso d’Italia

Vinum Italicum No. 3 Opera is Tinazzi’s pan-Italian “opera” — a blend that draws together three of Italy’s most expressive red varieties from three different regions, an homage to the country’s vinous breadth. The presentation reflects the same ambition: the label’s gilded baroque proscenium and tragicomic masks frame the wine as a theatrical performance in the glass.

Classic three-way blend: Corvina Veronese from Veneto, Primitivo di Manduria from Puglia and Nero d’Avola from Sicily. Each component vinified separately to express its origin, then assembled and matured in seasoned oak before bottling. 93 points from Luca Maroni and a place in Italy’s Best Wines of 2016.
