Brooding nose of dark cherry, dried plum, leather, cured tobacco, sweet spice and forest floor. The palate is full-bodied yet finely poised — firm, fine-grained tannins, vibrant Sangiovese acidity, layered dark fruit, savoury oak in support and a long, mineral, earthy finish.

Querciabella is one of Chianti Classico’s defining biodynamic estates, farming around 100 hectares across the heart of the appellation from its Greve base. The Riserva is the estate’s selected Sangiovese expression — drawn from the oldest, highest vineyards, picked at full ripeness, and aged longer in oak to add layered complexity.
Predominantly Sangiovese from biodynamic, hand-tended vineyards. Fermented in stainless steel with extended maceration, then matured for around 24 months in French oak (a portion new) followed by further bottle ageing before release. A serious, age-worthy Chianti Classico.
