Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon–led, with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot in support.
Aroma & Palate: Concentrated blackcurrant, cassis and mulberry with violet, graphite and cedar. Layers of plum, leather, dried herbs, spice, tobacco leaf and a touch of eucalyptus. Rich but refined, with fine-grained tannins.
Structure & Finish: Powerful yet elegant; long, savoury finish with hints of mocha, dark chocolate and subtle salinity.
Vineyard & Terroir: From high-elevation Banghoek Valley vineyards on decomposed granite and sandstone soils, providing freshness, structure and mineral length.
Vintage Character: 2019 was a challenging year marked by heat spikes and low vine reserves, but good rainfall during the growing season helped deliver balanced, concentrated fruit.
Critic Impressions: Widely praised for purity, finesse and depth; considered one of the standout South African Bordeaux blends of the vintage with strong aging potential (around 8–10 years).
