Bright ruby. Lifted nose of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry over forest floor, dried herbs and a fine smoky note. Light to medium-bodied with crunchy acidity, silky tannins and a savoury, salty mineral finish. Drinks beautifully with roast duck, mushroom risotto, charcuterie, grilled tuna or aged Alpine cheeses.

Cantina Tramin’s estate Pinot Nero (Blauburgunder) — a serious, cool-climate Alpine Pinot Noir at a sensible price. Sourced from selected south-east facing parcels on the slopes around Termeno at 300–500m, on calcareous gravelly soils. Hand-picked, de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel, then aged 9–12 months in older oak barrels and large casks to preserve fruit purity over toast. Tramin’s Pinot Nero is a benchmark Alto Adige red — pure, lifted and savoury.
