2023 Vintage — Ribera del Duero DO, Castilla y León, Spain
Bodegas Emilio Moro traces its roots to 1891 in Pesquera de Duero, where four generations of the Moro family have made Tempranillo on the high limestone-and-clay plateaus of the Ribera del Duero. The estate farms around 300 hectares of its own vineyards along the river — many old-vine parcels grown at 800m+ elevation, where the diurnal range builds Tempranillo with deep colour, polished tannin and serious ageing potential.
The “Emilio Moro” cuvée is the estate’s signature wine — 100% Tinto Fino (the local biotype of Tempranillo), drawn from old-vine vineyards across the appellation, fermented in stainless steel and matured for around 12 months in French oak (a portion new). Builds in the bottle for several years; drinks beautifully on release and improves through 5–8 years.
