Crystallum Peter Max Pinot Noir 2023 is a blend of grapes from across the Overberg make this charming, juicy, village-level Pinot Noir. So crunchy and fresh, with lovely tannins, and a lot of floral lift on the finish. This is so easy to drink: but don’t underestimate its ability to age.

This is a beauty, and again an excellent valued Village Pinot, from Peter. This feels more weighty than the 2022, and has typical gorgeous perfumed bouquet which follows onto the palate, bright fresh strawberries, cherry, with salivating tannins drawing you in to sip away… Enjoy!
Peter Max is Crystallum’s entry-point Pinot Noir, as it were, combining components from the Overberg with 15% each from Elandskloof and the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. Fermented with 10% whole clusters, it’s an engagingly commercial style with white pepper and rose petal top notes and flavours of red cherry, plum and wild strawberry. 2023-28
