The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully drinkable — polished ripe tannins, layered dark fruit, savoury oak in support and a long, fresh, savoury finish. Everyday Cape Cabernet with real class.
2023 Vintage — Stellenbosch, South Africa
Richesse is Le Riche’s approachable everyday red — the family estate’s more accessible expression of Cabernet Sauvignon-led Stellenbosch fruit. Etienne Le Riche and son Christo built the estate on a single-minded focus on Cape Cabernet, and Richesse gives an entry to that pedigree without the ageing potential (or price tag) of the flagship Reserve.
Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend with supporting varietals from Le Riche’s Stellenbosch vineyards. Fermented in stainless steel with gentle extraction, then aged for around 12 months in French oak (mostly seasoned) to add texture without dominating the fruit.
