Lifted, perfumed nose of red and dark cherry, blackcurrant leaf, graphite, pencil shavings and a whisper of bay leaf. The palate is bright and structured — fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, layered red and dark fruit, savoury oak in support, and a long, leafy, mineral finish.

Warwick’s Cabernet Franc is a benchmark expression of the variety in the Cape — sourced from the estate’s prized Simonsberg-Stellenbosch vineyards, where decomposed-granite soils, cool maritime breezes and warm afternoons coax the grape’s structured, perfumed character into balance.
100% Cabernet Franc, hand-harvested. Fermented in stainless steel with gentle extraction, then aged for around 18 months in French oak (a portion new) to add texture without dominating the wine’s natural lift.
