Oldenburg Vineyards is perched high-up in the Banghoek Valley, flanked by the Dwarsberg and Jonkershoek Mountains above Stellenbosch. Our vineyards are arranged like puzzle pieces around Rondekop hill. This centerpiece affords us a 360 degree perspective on our terroir – something quite unique.

By meticulously documenting the various soils, slopes, aspects and the microclimate we endeavour to create a blueprint for every vine parcel, to extract and encapsulate the place in vinous form, just as nature presented it to us. The bedrock of our philosophy is to work the land in concert with nature in order to harness its true potential.

Building from each vintage to the next, we edge closer and closer to balanced vines and honest wines that depict the complexity and elegance of this place that carries our whole hearted conviction. We hope to share this with you in every bottle that bears the name: Oldenburg Vineyards.
