Lemberg Nelson 2014
The wine has a deep purple colour which leads to aromas of blackberries, mixed herbs and a hint of liquorice on the nose. The firm, yet elegant tannins support the dark fruit that follow through on the palate, which again shows elegance in weight in the lengthy, dry finish (Platter). 97% Syrah, 3% Carignan.

Awards
92/100 Tim Atkin MW

Vinification details
Picked in the early mornings to maintain the night temperature, grapes were pre-chilled to 4°C before being de-stemmed and hand sorted, with 10% of the grapes fermented whole bunch. Initially punch downs were performed daily to extract colour and tannins, but once fermentation was underway, pump overs were used to allow for aeration. Aged in first and second fill French oak barrels for 8 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
