Buitenverwachting’s Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot is a classic left bank Bordeaux style blend, with the juicy Merlot grape offsetting the more structured Cabernet perfectly. Grapes for this Bordeaux-inspired red yield from Buitenverwachting’s cool estate vineyards in Constantia, and the wine was aged for 24 months in second and third-fill French oak barrels, where it also underwent malolactic fermentation.
